Popular Reviews

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen

Rating: 9/10 Short Review: Maybe I'm giving out 5 star ratings too liberally (to be fair, there's like 5 rating options), but fuck!!!! This album is just so freaking cool. The atmosphere of this thing just rocks so hard. Its so fuzzy and distorted and awesome. yippee.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jan 06 2026

Rating: 7/10 Short Review: Great riffs, would be better if he spent less time talking about how young his girlfriend looks and how he’s in love with a 16 year old. Top 3: Lust for Life, Passengers,

Parklife by Blur
Jan 07 2026

Rating: 8/10 Short Review: Parklife feels like it delivers on the colorful and lively feel that the title demands.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Jan 08 2026

Rating: 8/10 Short Review: As someone who listens to quite a bit of music, I can indeed confirm this is rock music.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jan 09 2026

Rating: 8.5/10 Short Review: You can tell the second this record starts it acted as (and still does to some degree) as a form of resistance. Now it stands as archival evidence of ongoing Black freedom struggles, many of which still exist today.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jan 12 2026

Rating: 8.5/10 Short Review: Very dynamic record, it felt like at any point a song could take a turn in any direction at any point which made for a very enjoyable listening experience. Essential album in general, but especially if you like metal in any capacity

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Jan 13 2026

Rating: 5/10 Short Review: I don't want to just call this a snooze fest because I think albums require more nuance than being called boring... however

The White Room by The KLF
Jan 14 2026

Rating: 7/10 Short Review: Some really amazing cuts, love the sample usage. Only really bogged down by some not so intriguing cuts (specifically a 9 minute nothing burger)

Nevermind by Nirvana
Jan 15 2026

Rating: 9/10 Short Review: This shit absolutely BANGS. like woah. Just straight heaters. Album so good it's got me talking like I'm straight.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 16 2026

Rating: 8/10 Short Review: A collection of very beautiful piano led folk songs. The strongest tracks on this album lean into this more. Loved the touch of strings added throughout them.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Jan 19 2026

Rating: 7.5/10 Short Review: Very solid collection of rock songs. Songwriting isn't necessarily standout, but these guys add a lot of personality to these songs which I think really makes the album.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Jan 20 2026

Rating: 9/10 Short Review: This album has an incredible soundscape that captures you for its entire runtime. It's drenched in this almost gothic sound mixed with synthpop and every second of it is enthralling.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jan 21 2026

Rating: 9/10 Short Review: It only took 11 days, but we finally got an album by a woman!!! Half jokes aside, what an iconic album. You can really hear how much influence this album had on alt rock.

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jan 22 2026

Rating: 9/10 Short Review: Maybe I'm giving out 5 star ratings too liberally (to be fair, there's like 5 rating options), but fuck!!!! This album is just so freaking cool. The atmosphere of this thing just rocks so hard. Its so fuzzy and distorted and awesome. yippee.

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Jan 23 2026

Rating: 5/10 Short Review: At times, this album is a really pleasant listening experience. Other times, it's kind of unbearable. This challenged me as a listener... unfortunately it was not one I could overcome. But, hey, maybe it'll grow on me with time. Who knows. I'll give it 3 stars just in case.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jan 26 2026

Rating: 6/10 Short Review: It's nice in the background, but nothing really grabbing that keeps your attention. Obviously I get that it's an instrumental album, but I honestly feel like something of these songs are like... pop songs without vocals.

Harvest by Neil Young
Jan 27 2026

Rating: 7/10 Short Review: Cute little country/folk rock album with some poignant lyricism. Sometimes tracks kind of blended together but it will probably grow on relisten

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Jan 28 2026

Rating: 8/10 Short Review: Some really memorable bars and great beats, just overall very well-rounded record. A couple of things didn't age particularly well, but that just kind of how it goes with older albums.

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Jan 30 2026

Rating: 7/10 Short Review: A very unconventional album. I think this is the first album where a 22-minute track is the most popular... and that's kind of fierce. This record is definitely a patient one, it makes you wait a lot. It pays off nicely sometimes, other times it feels like a bit of waste. Though, I don't really think it's one of those albums you just throw on, it's more of an experience.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Feb 02 2026

Rating: 8/10 Short Review: Genuinely impressive that this managed to keep my attention through its gargantuan runtime. Some amazing stuff here, but also some stuff I don't really care for.
