I see why they are considered the blueprint for shogaze, alt/indie rock. Saved one song, would not personally listen to whole album again but I "get it"

What a voice! And so young and tragic. A new and reawakened appreciation for soul music after this listen.

I know that this album seems not that exciting, even a little boring to me since I grew up listening to so many artists who were heavily influenced by the beatles sound and techniques.

Imitating other (mainly black) artists makes this sound possible. I appreciate the art but ultimately this is/was parroting and performance art. I do not like the banging pianos.

i get the early synth rock/pop vibes but it was also painful/jarring at times and overall boring to me
