1001 Albums Summary

Honestly can tell why I’m not as familiar with this album as say Songs in the Key of Life or Innervisions. “Boogie on Reggae Woman” is a banger, and I liked “Creepin’” but “You Haven’t Done Nothin’” sounds like a “Superstition” outtake. I liked “Please Don’t Go” but something about the cymbals was like nails on chalkboard

I’d prefer to give this a 3.5 because better than Stevie, but not quite a 4. Red Eyes is a great one. Some of the others, not enough happens.

Banger after BANGER. From the first YAH! I’m enthralled.

One of my faves. Takes me back to driving around Erie in my Chrysler Concorde, being a 90s hippie.

The album cover alone gave me a gross feeling. Maybe if I had heard it in 1994 I would’ve enjoyed more?

What is this, a Nora Ephron movie? Ray was 29 when he made this—DORK.
