Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Feb 03 2026

This album has always carried a lot of emotional weight. As a child of '76, I heard this throughout the years, but in my teenage years, Pink Floyd took center stage. My friendships revolved around music (concerts, clubs, albums), the closest of which shared this album in particular. Hopes, dreams, and inconvenient truths, this one said it all.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Feb 06 2026
White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Feb 09 2026

The duo brought alternative music to a wider audience, but if you already lived there, it wasn't much.

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Feb 11 2026

Folk, psychedelic folk, indescribable... Many love it, many hate it. I for one love it!

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Feb 12 2026

"The Gotan guys blend the sexy syncopations of tango with the dark, echoing textures of dub and the beats of house and nu jazz to create a sound that is at once timeless and extremely modern, familiar and completely original, and basically just so darn all-around hip that it’ll infuse your squalid little urban apartment with all the allure of a smoke-filled Parisian jazz club." Ditto!

All Directions by The Temptations
Feb 13 2026

Groovin, you dig. Layin down the real deal!

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Feb 14 2026

Everything I want from The Stones! A pinnacle of 1970s rock, blending blues, country, and gritty rock 'n' roll.

Queen II by Queen
Feb 15 2026

Progressive rock of the 70s. Heavy metal, glam, and art rock, it's all there.

Lazer Guided Melodies by Spiritualized
Feb 16 2026

Serene, spaced-out, and self-indulgent. Not quite hitting the mark for me.

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Feb 18 2026

It's Morrissey, just not the best Morrissey,

Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Feb 19 2026

A shot at the British Invasion, but not my favorite sound. I'm more Farther Along, The Byrds, and Sweetheart Of The Rodeo.

Low by David Bowie
Feb 21 2026
Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
