1001 Albums Summary

Outstanding album. Simply superb. Having only heard and liked her radio singles, I slept on Janelle’s full length albums. Holy cow, I’ve been missing out

Muddy Waters is another artist I’ve heard many times, of course. But had I ever actually sat through an entire album? Not until today. I’m beginning to realize on how many artists I’ve robbed myself of completely understanding their body of work. Hard Again was an incredible album, some classic Blues. I particularly loved the way he leaned into the Blues influence behind Rock n’ Roll music with songs like “Blues Had A Baby And They Named It Rock n’ Roll.” Tremendous album, I’m buying this one.

Absolutely incredible album. I was familiar with the radio singles from it but never heard the whole thing (a recurring thing with many of these albums, I’m realizing.) Very influenced by Nirvana but not in a cheap copy way, with elements of Brit Pop and The Beatles sprinkled in. Really good stuff
