1001 Albums Summary

Yeehaw, howdy, et cetera. Groovy and country. I liked this, 4/5 Favorites: Ooby Dooby, Up Around the Bend

I really love the piano, orchestral, and backing vocals on these tracks. I also think the lead vocalist being british adds an interesting texture to it. But i’m mostly drawn to the backing vocals. My favorite track is Time of the Season which I knew beforehand. I like the rhythm on that one. 4/5

Three songs in—definitely funky. Not my favorite sound but I’m growing fonder of it. I can already tell how crucial this was as Stevie’s first album and also as a political statement, he has a beautiful voice. All in love is fair - holy shit Don’t you worry - Tory kelly kinda tore him up on her version

This wasn’t buns I just don’t think I like death metal/hard metal. The harmonica threw me off

i loved this album! i see how she was inspired by stevie and also how she inspires female artists today the pushing piano rhythms make the songs so enjoyable

Pretty guitar and singer has a good voice but I got really bored haha. Folk music also isn’t always my thing so that is an important caveat

Play that damn guitar white boy His lyrics are obviously depressing, not always my thing but he has a great voice. I think people are too harsh in their critiques tbh. I did have to take a break to listen to megan thee stallion bc it was depressing me too much.

That opening guitar on the first song is legendary. Perfect album no further notes.
