The Bends by Radiohead
Mar 21 2026

one of the best/most impactful indie and rock albums of the 90s, probably in my top 25 albums oat. particular highlights: - the bends - black star - planet telex - my iron lung

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Mar 24 2026

this album is so ass, can barley hear any of the guitar riffs because there’s so much distortion. i like rooster. lead singer’s voice is permanently in cursive.

Revolver by Beatles
Mar 26 2026

lowkey most overrated beatles album. the least explorative and innovative of the “big 5” albums; lacks the new instrumentation of rubber soul (i.e. the sitar, which is featured in “love you to” but not done as well as norwegian wood i.e.) or the psychedelic themes of sgt peppers. lacks cohesion in some areas. highlights: - i’m only sleeping - top 10 beatles song oat. - here, there and everywhere - also top 10 beatles song, potentially top 5.

Mar 27 2026

standard british post-punk. highlights: - What you need - nice baseline - Could’nt get ahead

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Mar 28 2026

more psychedelic than other temptations albums. hadn’t heard this version of “i heard it through the grapevine” before, wasn’t expecting so much whimsy, don’t know if they should be that pleased given the premise of the song. highlights: - runaway child, running wild - why did she have to leave me?

Live! by Fela Kuti
Mar 29 2026
The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Apr 01 2026

fairly standard 2010s indie rock. rococo is straight ass, genuinely one of the most boring, uninventive imagine dragons ahhh songs. empty room was ok but felt like an imitation of earlier 90s/0s bands with little to no originality. seem like a slightly less awful coldplay but the bar is in hell. sprawl II and the suburbs were decent.

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
Apr 02 2026

ok album, felt like some of the songs were building to something but never quite got there. the cover of sweet jane caused me genuine pain, LEAVE THE VELVET UNDERGROUND ALONG!!

Third by Soft Machine
Apr 03 2026

jazz rock be jazzing and rocking. some of the tracks, particularly track 1 drag on a little bit but overall a very good prog rock album. particularly enjoyed moon in june.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 08 2026

overrated as fuck

Transformer by Lou Reed
Apr 14 2026

musically one of the best albums oat but sometimes his voice is so fucking jarring

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Apr 18 2026

average steely dan epic moment but not as good as a few of their other albums

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 19 2026
The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Apr 23 2026

boatman’s call more like nick cave booty call yes please i love this album

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Apr 28 2026

not even the best VU album but oh my god i love it

Celebrity Skin by Hole
May 09 2026

great hole album but the other one is so much more peak

Kid A by Radiohead
May 16 2026

genuinely the best album ever made, so revolutionary and impactful on the music scene as a whole from the early 2000s to now. not a single skip and some of the most incredible songs of all time ended up on either this or amnesiac. idioteque best song ever made i will die on that hill.
