Neon Bible by Arcade Fire

Put on this album while cleaning and it just disappeared into the background. Failed to make an impact but I did like the final song on the album so i'm going to bump it up to 3 stars

banger album. I'm starting feel i'm being too generous with my ratings but I dont think I can rate this anything but 5 stars. "Who says a Funk band can't play Rock!" is the standout song for me, especially because I can clearly tell how this influenced some of my favourite bands

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Mar 25 2026

3/5 stars, not a huge fan of metal so it didn't really hit for me. Even though it was pretty controversial when it came out it felt really tame listening to it now. Mostly reminds me of the songs in Guitar Hero I didn't really care for in college. Standout songs for me were Run to the Hills and Hallowed be thy Name, but most of the album feels a little same-y to me.

Wish I could give half stars, would've given it a 3.5/5 but since I liked it more than the previous album I reviewed (Number of the Beast) I'll just give it 4 stars. I can't help but love the way the guitars sound, but the vocals don't really work for me. Overall, I like it, but don't love it.

An album that's foundational to my music taste. Really started my love for electronic music, breakbeat and heavy usage of samples. Every track makes you want to move. 5/5 stars

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra

Was excited to listen to this one but left feeling mostly disappointed. Often reminds me of the more annoying Queen songs and even the good parts are just okay to me.

Hard to rate this album since it's so far removed from the kind of music I usually listen to. I did find myself wanting to return to it after listening so I think that deserves 4 stars

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin

Not as good as III in my opinion, but still pretty damn good

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Apr 19 2026

Some really good tracks on this album (Lookin' Out My Back Door, their cover of I Heard It Through The Grapevine) and some really bad ones (Ooby Dooby). Overall, it's pretty good

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Apr 23 2026

This album was a real breath of fresh air after too many dad-rock albums. Even though I'm not a huge fan of his voice it's great to listen to something that feels like it's trying to be its own thing. Exactly the type of album I was hoping to discover through this project.

First hip hop album i've gotten on here and it's a classic. Clearly a very influential album with some amazing tracks but by modern standards it sometimes feels a little corny, still very good though

Go Girl Crazy by The Dictators

I bet this bit was very funny in the 70s

Rio by Duran Duran

Great album, everything about it just sounds great, the drums, the bass, guitars, synths, vocals, distinctly 80s but doesn't sound dated. Plus the album cover looks amazing
