Ramones by Ramones
Apr 13 2026

Funny that the first album chosen for me was a key one from my teen years! Not listened for a while, but the Ramones' surf punk was the soundtrack of my summer back then - I don't think you can beat Blitzkrieg Bop and Judy Is A Punk for anthems. The three-chord 2 minute song was often ridiculed, but it's the simplicity that makes them so good, and there are some really clever lyrics.

Moon Safari by Air

This kind of music was huge where I grew up, so this takes right back to 90's Bristol, driving around town in the back of dad's car. I don't mind the odd song, but the full album was hard to sit through. I do appreciate it though.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Apr 15 2026

Not something I would choose myself, I can appreciate it's a good album but not for me. I liked Chameleon.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Apr 17 2026

This is such a great debut, there's quite a lot of brass in it which I wasn't expecting, this was a lot of fun I'll play it more often in future

Blur by Blur
Apr 18 2026

Blur definitely have better albums but I love this for how they're still finding their sound, and I genuinely think Beetlebum is one the best Blur tracks.

1977 by Ash
Apr 20 2026

Ash have some great songs, but I never really rated their albums. This was okay but not something I'd rush to put on again

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Apr 21 2026

I'm not a fan of live albums, but this has great sound production
