The album as a whole blends rock and fantastical elements -- with the flute and choir-like vocals -- that are especially showcased in the track "The Court Of The Crimson King." This album is definitely gearing me towards more of the band's discography. faves: 21st Century Schizoid Man and The Court Of The Crimson King

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis

v chill. would be fun to see as a live performance!

Not my cup of tea.

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar

Mamata (Affection) and Raghupati were the most enjoyable for me in this album.

evermore by Taylor Swift
May 08 2026

Usually, there is at least one TS song that I start to nod my head along to (regardless of lyrics). This album did not do it for me. She's perfected the genre for her demographic: straight, white women.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
May 12 2026

I've never listened to the entire album before, but was familiar with a few songs: Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, and All These Things That I've Done. Great album, regardless of its "overplayed" status.

Vulnicura by Björk
May 13 2026

I'm not too familiar with Björk's work, maybe a handful of songs. Vulnicura has such a different feel compared to the one's I have heard previously. Her vocals really shined through along with the string arrangements and the electropop (even thought I was not a huge fan of this album). Notget was fave.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
May 19 2026

v strong start with running up the hill (my fave). second half of the album felt like on stage musical numbers. very theatrical, fun storytelling. jig of life was also a banger

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
May 21 2026

such an airy, whimsical, dreamy album! it felt like I was seeing things with a vhs filter while listening to it. faves are cherry-coloured funk and I wear your ring. loved the lead singer's vocals in lament for gandalf

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Jun 07 2026

v generic 90s pop/alt rock. it was ok but the latter half lost me. stupid thing and fifty years after the fair were 2 notable tracks!

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jun 09 2026

I'm a fairly new Beatles listener (last 4 years) but I will say this album has a few of my all time faves of theirs: Nowhere Man and In My Life. Rubber Soul had a very cohesive feel throughout it.
