listening to this on a rainy day hits the spot. a couple songs were kinda slower but honestly i enjoyed the whole album. nice guitar playing, good rich emotion, kinda gave me seal vibes. 7.5/10

a little slow at times but amazing voice, cool calm and eerie vibe throughout the album. my favorite song is biscuit.

pretty good album! at first i thought it was a hit run of the mill 60s classic rock album but it's actually quite fun. i liked shangri la and australia, and yes sir no sir.

good easy listening, unfortunately not a huge jazz fan 😞. i found it to be a bit repetitive, not much variety in the sound. still good tho

where has this album been all my life!!! i love it. love the chill yet slightly melancholy vibe, almost has an rnb feel. reminds me a bit of pink pantheress, especially the title track. i literally luh

I liked this album!! It ranges in mood quite widely. The title track, In Shades, and Mr Siegal stand out to me particularly- though slightly sad lyrically, they are slow, seductive and punchy, the sort of songs that would backtrack the introduction of the cool love interest in an 80s film. Some of the Waits' voice to me is like a lovechild of Bryan Adams and Leonard Cohen. I wasn't as much of a fan of some of the sadder songs, but I still enjoyed them. Would reccomend.

not a bad album. a little slow, wasn't a huge fan of some of the songs at the start but overall pretty good. my favorite songs were sweet like a champion, and zia. sunshine gave me sort of a space-themed, joe meek and the blue men vibe
