Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon

On retrospect, I still love it, but I feel there are too many tracks, and some could have been cut. King of the Rodeo the highlight for me. The last album where Kaleb Followhill purposefully obscured his lyrics.

Hotel California by Eagles

First 3 tracks are at least interesting or unique. Mush after that.

The Clash by The Clash

Imagine this being your debut album... Fuckin class.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading

Perhaps my morning run wasn't the ideal environment for this. Have to admit that I zoned out.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jul 01 2026

Fun. Never delved into these but I think the time has come.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Jul 03 2026

Very cool. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is such a big tune, but the rest of the album was unexpectedly class!

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Jul 06 2026

My introduction to Steely Dan. The fact I bought a ticket for a Steely Dan tribute act the same day should tell you everything you need to know. Dirty Work and Reelin' In the Years should expect to be on repeat for some time.

1984 by Van Halen
Jul 07 2026

I've always thought these glam/stadium rock band are just playing fancy guitar riffs in order to shag women. At least these aren't taking themselves too seriously. Jump is a class pop song, and Hot For Teacher is a lot of fun. But this band just isn't my thing.

The Infotainment Scan by The Fall
Jul 08 2026

More musically creative than I'd anticipated. Was able to look past how much of a prick I think Mark E Smith was and enjoy this band effort. I'm Going to Spain was pretty funny.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Jul 13 2026

4th in a crazy run of albums. Always had a thing for When the Levee Breaks. Drums sound so good - recorded in a stairwell, if I remember correctly?

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jul 14 2026

Bit of nostalgia for me above all else. Clear memories of Firestarter being on the radio/Top of the Pops as a kid. Breathe still sounds great. Awesome album cover as well!

Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon

The singles are strong here. There Goes the Fear the highlight. Big Doves fan but maybe more a fan of their singles. Album was decent enough.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Jul 28 2026

So good and unique. My only issue with it is that Disorder is such a superior song in my opinion that once it's over, it doesn't reach that height again. But overall, amazing production and a band truly doing things their own way.
