Mythical album about Jamaican struggle recordad while exiled in rainy London. A voice of hope and that “everything will be alright” for the jamaican people.
If you feel down and out, put on this album, embrace the feeling, and push through anything. A must-listen for anyone. Great introduction to the Chicago Blues
Not my cup of tea. Having said that, I understand the praise, and there are some songs in the album which are absolute bangers

Call me an oldhead, but this is teenager music. That is not something bad though, while not being “Creep”, this is still a fantastic álbum which was just shadowed by it’s giant predecessor. Very consistent, with my personal favorite being Black Star and Nice Dream
Timeless Classic. Problably one of the most important albums of the lost. Aretha Franklin was the voice of the afro-American community, and specially black women, when they needed to be heard the most. From a technical standpoint, the songs haven’t aged a bit. The lyrics let you glimpse into the black struggle, and hope that “A change is gonna come”.

Quite incredible. Was not familiar with Congolese music, but the rythm is undeniable. While often overlooked, Africa has some of the best music I have ever heard

An obvious 5-star álbum. This album is a bastion of the 60s cultural movement and its soundtrack. While Mrs Robinson is the highlight, all the album is pretty consistent. Finally, it’s very easy to listen.

I never heard them before, but this album was very enjoyable and fun, from start to finish. No skips on this album
Look, I understand why it went under the radar in the 60s, it sounds like you would expect the 60s to sound. Luckily for me, who loves psychodelic rock, this album hasn’t aged one bit. And of course, Time of the Season is the strongest song here, although every single one of them is strong enough on its own.
