I mean yeah this is just some classic folk rock. pure flames. foot tappin blues rhythms, fun lyrics. they even got overdrive for the first song. oh my... francis drake is proper blues. walking bass and all. they did change to an epiano from the rock organ halfway through? entirely different style but I fw it. yeah this is literally trad jazz piano trio when did we get here I feel like Sunlight really demonstrates some musical fluency from theead guitarist. like it wasn't just melodic minor noodling, which is more than can be said for a lot of rock guitarist. same thing w Beautiful. really lovely voicing of those passing chords. god fucking dammit I thought we were getting a bass solo. they're putting their whole soul into this riff and you give them 8 bars accompanied by the rhythm section. what da hell man. oh yeah feel the stevie. hm guys I wonder did the rhythm guitarist write Bring You Down. ok upon reading the wiki they were all guitarists. that's why this album sounds like a guitarist circlejerk apart from when Levinger hops on keys. speaking of, yeah we're back to a piano trio. big fan of what is clearly a bunch of mates making what they think sounds good. good enough welcome back SRV ok the last song is a little bit weaker. I'm sure everyone was vibing hard in the studio. I know, were I on that piano riff, my head would be between my knees looking like I'd overdosed on opium. visions of studio do not, however, a good track make.

idk if I can contribute to the discussion that's already been had about this album. all I can say is that, despite the frankly abhorrent bars, these are some bars
