Never listened to Afrobeat before, probably good I started with the dude who created it. The funk-jazz thing is awesome. Grooves are hard af. It's right up my alley, but I can see how it would get draggy. The original EP release is much stronger than the CD extras. Overall good album, not amazing due to length of the songs. Also the dude had like 28 wives which is odd lmao. Fav song: Zombie

I tried to keep an open mind, but this album is just not enjoyable. It feels like the same song 12 times. Bono's got a great voice, but the songwriting does not do him justice. It's certainly not awful, just uninspiring and bland. I did enjoy Mysterious Ways and Love Is Blindness more than the rest of the album, but probably not enough to come back to them. Also the album cover is pretty cool, so solid 2.5 stars rounded down.

Amazing songwriter, one of the best. I can't find much joy in his voice. Just not for me, although it lends itself to the music well. The band is killer. Songwriting trumps technique, so realistically a 4, but personal enjoyment makes me rate it a 3. Fav track is TVC15 & Wild Is The Wind

Her voice is AMAZINGG but I can’t stand the pop instrumentation and production. Pretty good songwriting. Fav song was Sweetest Devotion, very good song!
