Trio by Dolly Parton

Getting a Dolly Parton album on the day of her passing is crazy. I honestly really enjoyed it and her voice is so soothing. I think this album is def at least 4 stars but personally I just don’t see myself playing it that much. Despite that I think the vocals and instrumentation speaks for itself. Fav Song: Rosewood Casket

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma

For what its worth a really nice indian classical music piece which just sounds different. Reminded me of the time i spend at the temple and idk whether thats a good or bad thing. Really liked the flute and guitar parts and the drum bounce was undeniable. Docking a point just cause the aspect of no lyrics does bring it down a point in my honest opinion - since replay value goes down. Fav song: Don’t really have one

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Aug 06 2026

Amazing guitar riffs, really interesting sections through the songs.

xx by The xx
Aug 07 2026

Really liked the ambiance of it, sounded like dreamy pop. Wouldnt listen to it on a daily basis but was a fresh air from just being purely lyrics focused.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Aug 08 2026

Really nice background noise for reading. A lot of variety in the playing and classical was refreshing to hear for a change. Might get it on vinyl.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Aug 08 2026

Really enjoyed the vibe of this album. Felt like a lot of the songs could be sampled and riffed off. A bit too slow for my liking but good overall

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Aug 09 2026

Literally one of my favourite artists of all time. This project my be my top 3 of his. Just the production, the delivery, the samples, the features, its honestly perfect. While i think it’s worse than graduation and mbdtf its still one of his best and deserves no less.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Aug 10 2026

the old rap style isnt really my favourite but i appreciate how much energy and passion they had in their delivery. I think that alone deserves 4 stars tbh.

Heroes by David Bowie
Aug 11 2026

liked the riffs and tone of the guitar, and had a few bangers i might relisten to (beauty and the beast, secret life of arabia). But honestly just not something I would constantly put on so only 4 stars as a result.

Aug 12 2026

I really like the change of pace with the psychedelic rock shift. While its not something i’d listen to normally it does sound interesting and new. Despite it being old it felt like it withstood the test of time and sounds like something not for radio or a indie rock band would make.

Aug 13 2026

Really liked the album containing wonderwall. Thought i would hate it since im not usually into rock, but it makes sense that olivia rodrigo and other pop rock artists took inspiration from this. I think it still stands the test of time and its a refreshig sound to hear. Fav song: champagne supernova

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Aug 15 2026
Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Aug 16 2026

Honestly thought steely dan would be like death metal or smt but was really surprised. Sounded more mellow and really reminded me of an inspiration for the indie rock genre.

Aug 17 2026

One of the most interesting albums i’ve listened to, didnt think british indie rock and Indian music could have a fusion but ig i should have expected it considering rhe population makeup and stuff. Really enjoyed the variety of songs on this album. Favourite song: brimful of asha

The Yes Album by Yes
Aug 18 2026

Didn’t really think it was that interesting of an album and it seemed to drag on a bit. Just doesn’t feel like its for me. Undeniably q good though. Fav song: yours is no disgrace

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma
Aug 19 2026

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Aug 20 2026

Just not for me. Tried listening to it and while it sounds interesting there just isn’t enough going on. Sure there’s textures but I just don’t find the appeal of an album like this. It sounds different but enters a region where it’s too different per se. Some songs hit but to me majority don’t. Fav song: Black Steel

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Aug 26 2026

Felt like a really laid back album. Felt like this was this type of sound that inspired dream pop (e.g parts of mag bay, lana del ray and clairo). Would be a nice album to just put in the background but main critique is that it feels like there’s nothing - like it just feels a bit empty. But looking at it in terms of the vibes ig that works if ambience is the main goal. Fav song: Angryman

Fav Song: Rosewood Casket

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Aug 28 2026

i mean interesting ambient album ig? Good to put in the background but felt like a normal space-lofi inspired album. Interesting synths tho. Fav song: NIL?

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Aug 29 2026

Went into it thinking it was just gonna be screaming (ig it kinda is) but realised that the focus of it was more on the band as a whole rather than just the vocalist. I think that goes for a lot of rock/metal in general to be honest. So while it did require a perspective shift it grew on me quite fast. Fav song: Battery / Master of Puppets

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Aug 31 2026

Always heard about how great of a guitarist eric clapton was but didnt really get into his music. Honestly this is such a vibey guitar performance, the riffs are catchy and the songs all have constant movement. Really enjoyed listening to it and might revisit it on vinyl if i can find it. Fav song: I shot the sheriff
