1001 Albums Summary

Such a strange album start. Literally always loved what I’ve heard from them but never listened to this album.

Obviously really technically sound. Time signatures super crazy. Tons of awesome bass. Harmonies are wonderful. But the melodies are too crazy outside of 1 or 2 tracks FOR ME. I just can’t love it.

Quirky, awesome beats. I’m going to come back to this one.

Ugh, not for me. I could feel the technical expertise and I appreciated the genre bending but it just never hit, not enough hooks.

This is not for me. Shoegazy. Sad, frustrating. The music is technical and unique, but the melodies are dragging. I could see being a goth teen and wanting to chill in my room and listen to this but im not that so i dont want that.

This album is nuts. At first i was like "this isnt for me. The avant-garde here is admirable, but I dont love it". And i still think that fits, but dang i kept having to increase stars because the bside tracks are art. i read reviews that helped me get it. im happy to have given it a try even if i basically never liten to it again.

I absolutely loved this. It was a great breath of fresh air. I have not spent enough time in post-punk and i would love to hear more. Liverpool kids too! Great stuff.
