1001 Albums Summary

Really enjoyed the first half of the album, the whole thing is great ofc. Guitar in stairway to heaven was wondrous. Would listen again

Eh didn’t really listen bc it’s not my fav genre, but really enjoyed Pedro navaja and enjoyed the beat. Did make me shake my hips a bit which is exactly what I wanted from it!

Lovedddd way over yonder, smackwater jack, and you’ve got a friend. Already knew it’s too late and so far away (it’s too late has been stalking me for months, shows up on every shuffle so getting this album today kind of spooked me), but overall pretty good album that is very cohesive. I liked when she leaned into the soul vibe more, and definitely enjoyed the backup vocals. The Gilmore girls theme song shocked me I didn’t expect that it sounds different in this version. Overall pretty good, probably wouldn’t go back to the whole album but there’s a few standouts.

Fiona Apple is my favorite artist so I have heard this album before but listening again is always amazing. The First Taste is how I usually introduce Fiona to friends but I also love Sullen Girl and Shadowboxer, among many others. I do prefer When The Pawn due to it being a little more intense, but this album is beautiful. Couldn’t recommend more!

I enjoyed this and would listen again, very fun and I like how you can really tell they’re having a great time. Reminds me a lot of one of my favorite albums Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde. I like the game show theme and how well they carried it through the album.

Eh. Maybe it was my fault for expecting it to be more like I’m Not In Love, but wasn’t my favorite it sounded pretty generic to this time period to me. I liked somewhere in Hollywood though. Sucks because I love the album cover!

Just so amazing, I’ve listened before and of course loved it, but this listen I enjoyed love is a losing game much more than last time, which was a great discovery. You know I’m no good stays my favorite though!
