1001 Albums Summary

A hall mark of hip hop and one of my personal favorite hip hop records. Songs like “The World is Yours” and “N.Y. State of Mind” are truly timeless let alone how well the overall track list has stayed punctual over the years. It’s crazy that this is the first album that was generated for me because I listened to this album repeatedly in 2019 when I moved to Katowice, Poland to start my journey in esports. 10/10 Life’s a bitch and then we die!!

Johnny Cash is one of the staples of rock and roll from back in the day. Great listen with some timeless tunes. “25 minutes to go” was one I hadn’t heard before. It stood out due to the structure of the lyrics ticking down to the singer’s ultimate demise. Nothing about this album is overally complicated as to be expected for the time period. Cash’s voice is in its prime and to have this album be recorded live in an actual prison is pretty fucking cool. 7.8/10.
