Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Sep 09 2026

Great vibes. Amazing that Stevie played almost all the instruments on this album. Perfect length (9 songs, 44 minutes). Higher Ground and Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing are obviously the most popular songs from this album. However, I think my favorite song was Living For the City.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Sep 10 2026

I grew up listening to CCR's Greatest Hits. I've always loved John Fogerty's voice and straightforward rock and roll arrangements. This is a short album! 9 songs under 30 minutes. They paved the way for The Strokes' Is This It album! Almost every song is great but I'd say Lodi is my favorite one from this album. I'd give this album a 3.5 stars.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Sep 11 2026

I love Led Zeppelin and LOVE this album cover. However, I struggled to really get into this album. Clearly the musicianship is there. However, it's such a long album and really more of a jam session for these guys. Too much brilliance crammed into one album. 15 songs at 1 hour 22 minutes is a lot to take in. There are strong points though. Houses of the Holy, Trampled Under Foot and Kashmir is a brilliant three song run in the album. The Wanton Song is fun but Black Country Woman might be the secret gem of this album. I give this album 3.5 stars.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Sep 14 2026

There’s a reason why this album is the voice of a generation. The sound was unbelievable in 1991 and it still is today. There are probably 7-8 VERY strong songs on here (radio friendly). The writing of Kurt has aged like fine wine. I do feel that Nirvana gets the Jimi Hendrix treatment but regardless of that, this album still hits on all cylinders. My only gripe is that it’s 2 songs too long. I give it a 4.5 star rating.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Sep 15 2026

Definitely not my vibe but I know it was part of the 90's Britpop sensation. Alright is a banger for sure.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Sep 21 2026

Props to Elvis for what he did and what his music is. It was never my thing though.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Sep 22 2026

Amazing musicianship with some very powerful songs. Stevie is in his bag on this one. My only gripe is the length of the album and in particular certain songs. For instance, "Isn't She Lovely" might be one of the better songs dedicated to the pure joy a child brings. But after the 3 minute mark it just carries on for another 3.5 minutes. There are several songs like this that just carry on. Overall, it's a powerful album with excellent vibes. A solid 4.

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Sep 23 2026

This was the first time I had ever listened to Iggy Pop. This album has a really cool, unique and dark sound. The album length is great and I had no idea that he wrote China Girl. An enjoyable listen.

Let's Get Killed by David Holmes
Sep 24 2026

I really enjoyed this album. Great beats and sounds. I wasn't the biggest fan of all the recorded conversations from NYC citizens. I found it distracting. I think it meets the concept of the album really well but it wasn't my cup of tea. I'd give this album a solid 3.5 stars.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Sep 25 2026

Great electronic album with a moody vibe. Really enjoyed it. 3.5 stars

Garbage by Garbage
Sep 28 2026

It was a fine alternative album. I give it 2.5 stars.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Sep 29 2026

This is a very unique album. I think Amy gets the "Jimi Hendrix" or "Kurt Cobain" treatment at times. She clearly had an ear for arranging very beautiful music. I'm not the biggest fan of her lyrics but overall I enjoyed listening. It's not boring by any means. I give it a 3.5.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Sep 30 2026

It was fine to have on in the background. A little bit more of a dark electronic album. Breathe was a HUGE song when I was a teen. I remember this album and the rage behind it. Enjoyable listen.
