1001 Albums Summary

Already just listened to this lmao. When it’s actually doing a fully done song it’s peak, but there’s a lot of nonsense imo. Well not nonsense but like… why am I gonna listen to anything that isn’t What’s going on, God is Love, and Mercy Mercy Me?

Very consistent sound throughout and tons of bangers

Solid album, great harmonies and enjoyable music. Nothing groundbreaking to me

Production was decent but the vocals were absolutely not my cup of tea.

Easily one of the most important and influential rap albums of all time, and it isn’t hard to see why. Incredible production, incredible bars and rapping, about heavy topics that relate specifically to Nas’s life. Set the bar for what a rap album could be, and should be from that point forward.

Very classic, clearly influential soul. Though goddamn are the songs long and there’s a lot of talking. It’s also very freeformy from time to time, which I like.

Incredible stuff, super groovy, couldn’t stop bobbing my head the entire time
