1001 Albums Summary

Hard to parse as an album when you know the singles so well, but even so this one was a joy to listen to. Dear Doctor and Jigsaw Puzzle were stand outs as a song i'd never heard before,but (1) instantly knew it was a rolling stones song and (2) instantly loved it.

The prog rock / folk of the 70s is one of the genres that has not aged well, and this album is definitely impacted by that. Some fun stuff here, but I think its overrated when talked about as one of the great rock albums.

Never listened to this one, but similar to the Songs in the Key of Life, i feel like the upbeat songs are still classics and sound great, but his slower piano ballads feel super dated, and i struggle through them. This one has more of the latter, which is probably while it doesn't feel as good as Songs in the Key of Life.
