Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 03 2026

Natural mystic is a great opener song for an album. The way the beginning instrumental builds up and up really makes you excited for the album. It also sets the spiritual tone for the album. It starts with that to go into a sequence of events that are most likely biblical or representing some type of spiritual journey until the exodus. Exodus is fantastic movement and also where the album switches from a journey to what comes after. Celebration, love, and peace. Jamming comes in saying “we are free, let’s dance.” Waiting in vain and turn your lights down low for some good old fashioned yearning and loving. And then ending with two songs that we could show the aliens if they come to earth. Three little birds and one love being what it’s really all about with life. I was really excited that this album was generated today, as I grew up listening to a lot of Bob Marley. I already knew and loved many songs but got to listen to some fresh ones I hadn’t known before. Top hitters being natural mystic and waiting in vain. Incredible.

The Doors by The Doors
Nov 04 2026

Not my favorite album. First couple songs sound extremely similar. We don’t get something unique until Alabama Song. I appreciate the eerie-ness and comedy of it, and then he starts singing about little girls. I know he’s probably just referring women as a whole but it totally turns me off in that song. Light my fire is a classic, I will give it that. Backdoor man (although still mentions little girls) is definitely my favorite off the album. I haven’t heard the original yet but blues covers just always hit for me. The rest of the album blends into the background for me until The End. I enjoy the matter of fact ness of the Doors like “okay, this is the end of the album, take it in.” And then they go into a crazy murderous oedipal monologue bc why not. I think Morrison shines in the more eccentric songs like this one, longer, more poetic, experimental. The shorter, groovier songs they do are good but don’t show who he is as well. I can completely understand why this album was revolutionary for the time, it’s unique and creepy and starts to show the shift from the 60s to the 70s. Overall, good enough album, just not my personal favorite.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Nov 05 2026

Not my favorite. There’s just something a little too fake French jazz coffee shop vibes about it that is not my type. While not a song I would probably listen to again, I’ve got to see you again was a refreshing pivot from the rest of the album. Throughout the album, I heard a tone of influences from other artists but right when you were about identify it, it was over. She had a very unique voice and definitely found her sound, but it’s not for me.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Nov 06 2026

“My dreams Are alone and sick and must be addressed. They’re a young girl’s dreams.” Certified banger. Dreamy ass album. It’s great for people who don’t care as much about the lyrics bc u can’t understand Elizabeth Fraser anyways but it really doesn’t matter. U can look up the lyrics if u want but they don’t even make much sense in print. Again doesn’t matter. Ethereal composition with some super unique vocals. U got falsetto, yodeling, Scottish nonsense, minion-style riffs. Just so good. You should listen to this album if you like dark, disjointed movies with no clear endings and a twinge of mystical fantasy vibes, preferably from the late 80s to early 2000s. Think Dream Lover. Lots of artists would not be here without the Cocteau twins. Standouts are naturally cherry coloured funk and heaven or Las Vegas with pitch the baby and iceblink luck up there too.
