Close To You by Carpenters

Great! Mostly the songs are very sweet, but also interesting. What struck me most was the drums and percussions and the use of weird instruments like flutes.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Jan 13 2021

A 15 min version of 'my generation' makes up about half of the album. So all in all, pretty awesome! Some nice raw sounding 70's rock. Apparently is is live recorded, which might give it an extra raw feel, but for the most part I didn't even notice it is a live album.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Jan 14 2021

Not really my jam, a bit too sweet at times, but still not a bad listen. The album starts strong with the first 2 songs (Band On The Run and Jet). The middle felt very Beatles-ish, but a bit flat or boring. The last song however (Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five) was again great.

Low-Life by New Order
Jan 15 2021

Even though I did not know a single song on the album beforehand, it was a very pleasant listen. A nice balance between high energy (almost disco) vibes and ambient synth, this must be one of my favorite new wave albums.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jan 18 2021

It was about what I expected of a Maiden album. Although I was not familiar with any of the songs on the album, they all did sound familiar.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jan 19 2021

The album starts with the hit song 'Tiny Dancer'. The rest follows in that vein. Great piano-heavy ballads.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jan 20 2021

Most of it is not really my thing. The high pitch singing from Robert Plant gets annoying to me after a while. However, tangerine is an exception, love that song. And Imigrant Song as the opener is also great (or maybe I'm just not yet tired at that point).

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Jan 25 2021

Quiet beautiful, but a bit to airy for me when I try to sit through the full album.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Jan 26 2021

Actually a bit disappointed. For such a legendary album from a band that I like, I would have expected to be blown away. But I could not really get into it.

Great! Mostly the songs are very sweet, but also interesting. What struck me most was the drums and percussions and the use of weird instruments like flutes.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
