Love Smooth Operator. Great drum sounds on Hang On To Your Love

This is everything I want from a Christmas album, and I’m usually not a fan of Christmas music. I love the intensity of the vocals and the vibe of the band. Very enjoyable record.

I really enjoyed this. Wasn’t familiar with their early works.

Incredible energy. Modern sounding vocals. Great production, feels dated now but it was 20years ago!

Raw and raucous. Can hear what inspired the like of Curt Cobain etc. Love it.

Classic record. Defines the late 80s hip hop era in terms of production and rap flow. Very straight, breaks and hooks. Love the lyrical content and delivery. The energy is undeniable. Couple of hits towards the start of the record but loses me for the most part after track 5. Can hear Ric Rubin’s production influence. Minimal FX processing. Samples and drum machine. ‘It’s Tricky’ Classic. Love the My Sharona sample. Can hear the AMS reverb all over this record. ‘Walk This Way’ Epic rap rock crossover. Groundbreaking for the time. Another Rubin influence. ‘Is It Live’ Flex track. Great beat. ‘You Be Illin’ I like this one. Interesting, the pop culture references. Adidas, Kentucky Fried, Big Mac…

Great listening to this. Has to have influences the Flaming Lips and Tame Impala! That being said, the genre is totally my cup of tea. Absolutely appreciate the greatness though!

One of my favourite albums of my youth! Starlight and Supermassive Black Hole sounded absolutely incredible live. Always loved the bass tones of this band. Phat.

‘Saltans of Swing’ reminds me of my Dad. Big fan he was and taught me this solo 🤘

An absolute classic. Love this record.

A bit before my time, but a formative record nonetheless. Suck My Kiss, Give It Away and Under the Bridge being the standouts for me.

New to me but don't know how I missed it when released. Love it!
