Solid nirvana meets bowie, nothing too crazy.
Top-notch blues riffage; but lyrics as deep as a kiddie-pool
The lyrics are cheesy, the sound dated, but oOoo baby there's magic in the pairing of this man's voice and the polished production. The King is dead, long live the King
Incomprehensible? Often. Wandering and over-produced? Every other minute. A work of brilliance? Oh yeah. Listening to this album let's you listen as a music master goes insane. The twists and turns, the straight fire grooves, the bonkers sfx; it's no wonder Syd Barret remained the muse of Pink Floyd despite leaving after the first album. He's a madman, and I love it.
I appreciate the clear vocal and production talent, just not my cup of tea
Somehow able to blend ethereal cathedral sound with riffing rock, Jeff Buckley is a gift. His voice resonates the soul. All the more haunting given how young he left the world.
Solid 60s psych rock. Love the eastern angles
Solid Bluegrass Rock
Exceeded my expectations. Starts as fairly common 60s rock, then shines with seamless song transitions and fascinating experimentation.
Sea Shanties. All the raw lively nature of punk, but more sailors and pubs. Not my fav, but I get the appeal
Heartfelt and a bit funky, I appreciate the positive messages. That said, some of the 90s type hip-hop style and trying-too-hard lyrics age poorly.
Crazy the type of sounds Eno was cooking up as far back as 1975. He's always pushing the frontier of mainstream. It makes sense he's such a pivotal player in the music behind the scenes.
Great voice; the lyrics dig into deep narrative and character development. Tho it sometimes falls into too much edgy cynicism for my taste
Solid Punk; subverts a bit of the angst edge. Pretty standard fare tho
