Appreciated an intro to Count Basie - didn’t know about him - one of the greats in jazz and big band. The slow songs hit, esp ✨ After Supper 💘

As much as I loved songs like Two Sisters, No Return, and Act Nice.. I also loathed Harry Rag and Mr Pleasant.
New to me. Pleasant surprise. Wild flavors, reminiscent of Rocky Horror; deliciously somber notes of Eno. 💘

My favorite talking heads album
This album sounds like it was made by multiple artists. I’m hearing Elvis, Arthur Russell, a little honkey tonk n roll, just doesn’t feel like one original, unique sound. I liked it. But was confused.
Girl from ipanema is one of my favorite songs of all time but Frank’s version is not tops. If this played any day aside from Sunday, it prob would have gotten a 2
