You Are The Quarry by Morrissey

Absolute banger, his lyrics are unmatched in music! Really really enjoyed the album. Just a shame that he ended up becoming really UKIP/Brexit-y. Everyone gets over their Morrissey period apart from Morrissey!

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour

Really interesting to hear Senegalese music. Throughly enjoyed it to begin with but couldn't listen for too long

Hysteria by Def Leppard

Some incredible songs but I found it hard-going for the whole hour of the album. A lot of the songs do sounds the same!

Mar 16 2021

Interesting to hear this album as it's the album of theirs I'm least familiar with. Wasn't absolutely blown away by it but it's still The Smiths so still excellent

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Mar 17 2021

I'm sure I would enjoy it if I gave it the time but it's not available on spotify so we listened on youtube on my laptop. The music just isn't meant to be listened to in that way. What we did hear was a bit dull!

Harvest by Neil Young
Mar 18 2021

Haven't listened to Neil Young much but really enjoyed the album

What an album! So atmospheric and loved listening to it through while driving

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Mar 26 2021

Sexism, violence and glorification of illegal activities aside, this is a banger

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Mar 30 2021

It was good but all the songs kind of blended into one by the end.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Mar 31 2021

I actually really really enjoyed this. Had heard of Jethro Tull but never listened to their music. This album was a real pleasant surprise

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Apr 01 2021

Really loved this! Lovely chilled vibes for a sunny day

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Apr 06 2021

I was surprised to not know any of the songs on the album. It was interesting to hear their early stuff but it's not as good as their later work!

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Apr 07 2021

Background noise really. We tried to give it a listen and kept forgetting to listen! Wasn't as terrible as I was expecting when I read the Wikipedia but obviously not actually good

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
Apr 09 2021

Really disappointed with this. Love Simon and Garfunkel and I've loved other stuff I've heard by Paul Simon but I thought this was rubbish. Some proper dodgy songs, bizarre lyrics and most of the album didn't have anything that stood out

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Apr 12 2021

Excellent album, it got a little bit samey after a while (too much of a good thing!) So many bangers on this though

Hypocrisy Is The Greatest Luxury by The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy
Apr 13 2021

Interesting lyrics and was especially interesting to hear about the issues that were being faced in 1992. Especially since so many of them are sadly still problems 30 years later. That one song about television being bad for you, interesting how it's just become so much more part of our society and we're worried about smart phone and social media these days. However, I didn't really enjoy listening to it. The rapping didn't ever really change flow or tempo and it was all a bit repetitive

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
