Some classic MJ songs, some enjoyable light disco ish

So very 80s

More angular than I remember, some Beatlesesque moments (everything will be alright?), feel like you can hear the desert in some songs to me. 1 or 2 very cut and paste indie pop songs

Very very saccharine, very samey. Best/most interesting song was ‘Help’, which of course they didn’t write. 1 or 2 pretty songs but nothing very interesting

I’d probably give a 2.5 if I could, I quite liked it but not enough to listen again. Sounds like the soundtrack to a Woodstock/summer of love documentary

Very standard 2000s indie rock, nothing very memorable for me.

I did not expect to like this, but it won me over by track 3.

One of my personal favourites of all time, it’s not perfect but I don’t care. Only 4 instead of 5 as it does get a bit samey towards the end.

Didn’t really know what to make of this, the shift of genre all the time made it a little bit unsettling almost. Quite enjoyed it though, will have to listen again

Afraid I’d never heard of Miriam Makeba, how I’ll never know. I loved this

More fun than I expected, I think I would have loved this had I heard it when it was new. 3 rather than 4 stars because while I enjoyed it, I can’t see myself listening to it again.

Really struggled to rate this. I appreciated the artistry but 40 minutes of this was just So. Much.

I had no idea how big this album was til I looked it up - not the most intelectual album ever but what they do they do really well
