Caetano Veloso
Caetano VelosoGroovy as hell! Not something I’d seek out on my own, glad to have listened!

I’ve never been a fan of this type of music either. I felt really haunted listening to it though, it was full of pain even when the lyrical content was reflecting something innocuous or positive. Too slow, too “artsy” for my taste but fuck if I didn’t *feel* something
One of my closest friends loves Chapman, I’ve only ever known her big hit. There’s a particular sound she has that I hear others try to emulate or some close to, but it’s the mixture of a unique voice, laid back music and lyrics that are the most fucking honest and sincere thing I’ve heard. Having a straight vocal track was a cool touch.
So many genre influences, I was really impressed!
Never really liked acoustic music, I heard Bragg referenced and covered in high school a lot but never listened. The first half of this album is really fun and not what I expected, up to Help Save the Youth of America I really enjoyed. It was all punk unplugged. From Wishing the Days Away was a boring mix of folk and country, just not something I like. Would love to hear more of his stuff that sounds like the first half of this!
I grew up around Irish and wanna be Irish people who blasted traditional Celtic, Celtic revival and Celtic punk music. I’m just never going to like it again, or maybe I will but not that I can see. In spite of that, if I’m being forced to listen to this music then this album is on the upper crust of that shit sandwich. The music is nostalgic for me in both a good and bad way, the vocals are reminiscent of church in my home town or visits from my uncle, the tunes are ear worms since their basically sea shanty’s, working songs or pub choruses. I have to give it 3, I want to give it 1 because I hate this music but for all the above mentioned reasons and the fact that I could find this in my great aunts record collection if she was still alive, it’s 3/5.
It’s fucking Iggy Pop
Hollow and empty musically, it’s hauntingly beautiful but hard to get through
On a Rope Ball Lightning Third wave ska meets pop and street punk
Groovy as hell! Not something I’d seek out on my own, glad to have listened!
An insanely original and timeless sound, blew me the fuck away
I’d lever listened to a full Slayer album, now I will often
I don’t like disco at all, but I’ll admit there is a groove here and there that I liked

That transition from Bus into Jesus When they go hard, very country Motorhead Hot Blue I really disliked Beer Drinkers, Mr Sparks, La Grange Sheik was cool but went on too long
Sounds incomplete, cool ideas but lacking in anything that sticks
Punk!
Smiths have songs that rule...they also have songs that don’t...a lot of songs that dont
Just some weirdo solo stuff
Aside from the hit it’s a forgettable rock album

Old folky riffs that are not for me
Incredible rock n roll, first time listening to a full AC/DC album. Everything is awesome! Just wish the drums were crazier!!!
