Slipknot
SlipknotThis would be a thousand times better if it were mixed properly. Classic loudness wars ruining the fidelity. It's very good at what it is.

Sounds like a PSA for the dangerous of cocaine. Leonard re-establishes that he's a total creep. I hate this so much.
Haven't listened to this album in years. First thing I noticed is it's a causality of the Loudness Wars. The fidelity was just awful. First half of the album is good, but then everything between Californication and Road Trippin is garbage. If you picked just the highlights of the album it'd be a 4 star album, if you fixed the audio, it'd be 5. As it stands, it's a 2.5.
Solid beats, interesting progressions. Often embarrassingly 90s.
's good. But I prefer "Something Else"
Everything other than "Hard to Handle" just sounds like the most generic music ever. It's kind of impressive. I couldn't imagine wanting to listen to again or share this album with friends.
Robert Smiths lyrics and singing are kinda awful... but the music behind him are actually pretty great. It's not hard to see why this album is a cornerstone in music history.

Much poppy-er then I was expecting. I feel like I'd need to listen this a dozen times to actually wrap my head around it. I think some context is needed as to why this is a "must listen to" album
Exactly as advertised. Beautiful and serene

I would have never listened to this album if It weren't for this project. This is why I'm doing it. What a vibe this thing has.

A lot of the album is very same-y. I don't enjoy the music as much as other hip hop artists and albums. I respect his talent, but I hate the subject matter.
Boring dad rock.
If I were 50+ and from New Jersey, 5 stars. I'm not.
Great album
