I have yet to grow an appreciation for jazz. It is something I want to do, but as of right now it I have not. I can still tell that there’s a lot of detail in this piece however, so that gives it some points.
It’s really… basic.
Handful of good songs. Not as spectacular as people make it out to be. First of these albums I’ve heard previously.
This is an album I’ve previously heard, and I really love it. Brilliant songwriting and great performances of Cohen’s signature sparse guitar playing.
It’s okay, handful of good songs. Really enjoyed the guitar playing I must say.
Pretty good. Not much else to say.
Better than I remember it being. Still not a huge Prince fan, but I could definitely listen to 1999 again willingly. And of course, Prince’s instrumentation is great.
It would appear my impression of mediocrity for the Beatles carries over to their solo discographies. It’s just that, mediocre.
I didn’t really like it but then again I wasn’t paying attention at all.
Instrumentation was okay but the melodies overall were fantastic.
I have very mixed feelings about “Electric Music for the Mind and Body.” The guitar is phenomenal, as are the vocals and singing. But the melodies and instrumentation (minus guitar) fail to live up to those standard. As such, there are only about three good songs.
