1001 Albums Summary

Such a classic album that aged very well. I have such fond memories of listening to this in my teens as I was learning how to play the bass guitar. It's groovy and approachable. A true classic.

Hip hop is not one of my preferred genres but I can appreciate this album for being a fun listen. The bass is slick and that really stood out for me.

Raw, gut wrenching and agonizingly haunting. I think this is truly one if Springsteen's best work.

I'm not a big fan of the sound. I found this album to be a little schizophrenic but maybe that's the intent. I might circle back for another listen but I'm not hot on the genre, unfortunately.

What a classic. Amazing vocal performance from the first track to the last. "Respect" is truly an anthem until today, and is testament to her influence on modern R&B/ Soul.

She has a good voice, but everything from the album is quite forgettable and overproduced.

This album is a treat.
