LambchopIt's an album. Apparently I listened to most of it but I'm not really sure when that took place. Nothing stood out and I wouldn't go back to it.

This is what I'd call a solid 3.5. Plenty of solid riffs as is to be expected of Jimmy Page and a number of songs that I could happily tap along to but outside of Immigrant Song, there's nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately since it can't be a 3.5, it's a 3.
Feels like an angsty trip down a funky memory lane. Solid album.
Outside of a couple of songs I found it rather boring and in all honesty, I almost called it quits a few times. I kept wanting more from it and the only track that really delivered on that was Come On Eileen.
I found there to be a few engaging tracks but as a whole it felt unexciting and easily blended into background noise. If it was already on, I wouldn't turn it off but I'm not going to go out of my way for it.
I don't know what else to say other than it was fine. Feels like an album you need to be in a specific mood for and I couldn't meet it there.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I went in with no expectations and no knowledge and I found myself really digging it. Admittedly I am a sucker for brass instruments so that helps. If I could go 3.5 I would.
Some decent tunes but overall felt a little repetitive. I can see how this was ground breaking for the time and helped to birth a new sub-genre but that sub-genre has since grown up and moved out of home. Solid 3/5.
I can't say I'd heard any Elliot Smith before this but I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is very much a vibe that I resonate with and I'll be revisiting a few songs for sure.
Never really listened to Iggy Pop before and I found this to be okay. It wasn't anything special and I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's somewhere around a 2.5 for me so I'm going to drop it to a 2 in an attempt to correct my supposedly flawed rating system.
I'd never really listened to Fugees before and I now see the error of my ways. I had a great time with this album. Not enough for it to be a 5/5 but it's a solid 4/5.
From the beginning I enjoyed it but there wasn't anything particularly standout until I got to how do you sleep? Immediately threw that onto my on repeat playlist and then did the same with tonite. I ended up listening to the album twice over but couldn't do any more than that so I can't bring myself to rate it 5. It's a 4.5 in my opinion but I do have to drop it to a 4 because there are no half stars!

Everyone has a collection of music that has helped them through some hard times and helped shape them. Nirvana features heavily in my collection. Tourette's is maybe the only song on the album that I wouldn't consider a banger as it feels almost too volatile, explosive and I think there's too much going on. I would however argue that it achieved exactly what it set out to achieve so I can hardly fault it. I may have only been 1 when this album was released but In Utero is timeless. 5/5.
Overall the album was okay. It felt very front-loaded with the catchier songs at the beginning and fell down after about the halfway mark. I wouldn't go back but I didn't feel the need to turn it off.
So when I was around 13 I got a mix cd from my cousin. This mix cd was exclusively metal and there were 2 songs on that cd that hit me harder than any of the others. 2 songs that are the reason I got into metal. They were "Toxicity" by System of a Down and "Wait and Bleed" by Slipknot. I lost that cd in a move shortly after I got it and I didn't have a track list for it because what 13 year old keeps a track list? It took years for me to rediscover "Wait and Bleed" and when I did I think I listened to this album on repeat for like a month straight. Thank you random album generator for reminding me of this. I have so much love for Slipknot, both the band and the album, but I would argue that it's not their best. That's not to discount the album by any means, it's a fantastic album. Easy 4. Maybe a 4.5 but that's likely angsty teen Been talking.
Elephant is a classic. It starts strong with some big tunes scattered throughout but it does hit in waves. Definitely an album I go back to but not enough to warrant a 5/5.
Was quite surprised by this one. It was experimental and weird but in a way that was interesting enough to keep it going. Wouldn't return to the album though.
This started very strong with jam after jam but it lost me towards the end. There were a few that just didn't quite hit for me. Still a strong enough album for me to rate a 4/5.
I'd not listened to Massive Attack before this and I went in with absolutely no expectations. I quite enjoyed the album and would happily give it a 3.5 if I could.
