Popular Reviews

2112 by Rush

I remember being completely blown away when hearing the song 2112 for the first time. At that point in my life (age 17? 18?) I had heard some proggy music but this was on a whole other level of sci fi wizardry.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Dec 20 2021

This album has a lot of feeling... At first I was worried I would not like it at all but after a couple songs I settled into the mind of the artist.

Moondance by Van Morrison
Jan 06 2022

Refreshing and sweet. Didn't realize I'd like this as much because of his very popular songs.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Jan 07 2022

Reminded me of love lies bleeding by Elton John. Not a bad album.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jan 10 2022

In 2004, Kanye seems very socially aware. I like some of the songs but others just aren't my style. Most of the other artists on the album seem out of place. Above all of that, it is a very inspiring album. I've actually listened to this album more than once today - the topic of college degrees and how it relates to intelligence is all the more relevant in 2022. This album opened up a new part of my mind.

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Jan 11 2022

This album definitely serves a specific purpose - provoking thought, background for a stimulating conversation. Staring straight at it for one hour and fifty minutes can be exhausting.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Jan 12 2022

Very comforting album - reminds of me being 15. This is the only White Stripes album I do not own and I wish I did.

Signing Off by UB40
Jan 14 2022

This is just not my style.. made it through half the album. "You be 40 - I'll be leaving now..."

2112 by Rush
Jan 20 2022

I remember being completely blown away when hearing the song 2112 for the first time. At that point in my life (age 17? 18?) I had heard some proggy music but this was on a whole other level of sci fi wizardry.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jan 21 2022

Nope.

Illmatic by Nas
Jan 24 2022

Very, very talented. Simple, thoughtful music without being pretentious. His ego doesn't get in the way, here.

Jan 25 2022

This evokes a strong sense of nostalgia for me. Being young - figuring out the world - figuring out love and pain. Passionate and wild.

Microshift by Hookworms
Jan 27 2022

This has a very nostalgic vibe to it - could be the music to a new romance. I listened to this twice.

Blur by Blur

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman

That was bizarre

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Jun 27 2024

The kind of nostalgia that hurts to listen to. I can barely listen to this album without feeling horrible about where my life is and the regrets I have. Amazing album though. So glad to have found it.
