Electric Ladyland
Jimi HendrixMy first Hendrix or any kind of 70’s(?)rock like this. I added all of these songs to my playlist because I enjoyed them all but I can see me never coming back to this album.

Nothing really catches my attention honestly. A few bits here and there but yeah I might maybe maybe come back to it but that’s all.
"My hopes were so high when I heard the first track. But honestly it went downhill after that. Alison is good and Welcome To The Working Week is the best."
"I zzz'ed asleep."
This could actually be between a six and an eight. I really don't know. I'll very likely listen to it again though.
I like how short it is. I don't have much else to say though.
San Francisco Bay Blues is a banger. Everything else though is unfortunately very bland. I bet it was great fifty years ago but it's very dated now.
Not really a huge jazz guy. But within the dozen-ish jazz albums I've listened to, this may be my favorite after Pharoah Sander's Karma.
Okay so realistically, this should be a five star album for me. But I don't know why but this album just annoys the crap out of me. I've gave this album at least a half a dozen listens the past year and every time I thought to myself "why do I not like this?" I love a lot of post-punk artists and albums but this one specifically just does not do it for me. I wish I could go more into detail on why but honestly I don't even know.
I much prefer Electric Ladyland instead. There were more familiar tracks in this album but it's alright. Maybe it'll grow on me? Not sure though.
I liked The Weight a good bit but everything else is just alright. I wouldn't mind if someone put this on and I had to listen to it, but I would never seek out to listen to this album again.
I've first listened to this album about two and a half years ago and I've always been a big fan of it. Sadly it does feel like it's kind of dying for me but there is a charm about it that is always fun to hear whenever I do stroll back into this album. Even though the album is fun throughout the whole listen, it does feel like if you only heard three songs from this album you have heard everything from this album.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Sorry for not writing much (idk who im saying sorry to) I'm writing this like twelve hours after I listened to it :/ I REMEMBER THE LAST TRACK BEING VERY GOOD THOUGH
I feel bad but I really really don't like this. I'm going to sound like every other hater but I don't like his voice, and his music is just so boring to me. Maybe one day I'll be able to appreciate it. :/
I enjoyed the album a lot. It gives off a cold atmosphere. The last track is very haunting sounding too from what I remember. I'll definitely be relistening to it.
Eh just not for me. I liked it but nothing really peaked my interest.
Very good album. I feel that it's overlooked album. Also fun fact, this band influenced My Bloody Valentine which is pretty crazy.
I'm not the biggest Nirvana fan so like that's my bias. This album is pretty overrated. It has good and fun songs but idk besides that it doesn't do anything else for me. Sorry :/.
Kicks and I'm Not Your Stepping Stones are good tracks. This album didn't really click for me though.
Not much of a country person fyi. All of these songs sounded the same though. There are a few highlights (aren't that high) like Black Coffee and I Wish I Didn't Love You So but even those I can't really see myself listening to again.
I hear huge The Doors and Pink Floyd influences on them. Their use of the organ(?) is really cool too. Especially on the intro track.
I’m going to give this a four star instead of a three just because I really think this is going to grow on me hard within time.
The most 80's sounding album I've ever listened. Yeah it's a fun album and nothing is really boring. But the singles really carry the album very hard.
It's a Sin and One More Chance are such banger songs. Even besides that, the album is pretty dang good.
I am not much of a reggae guy. I would give it two stars but I feel that would be unfair.
I should’ve listened to some core Motörhead albums before listening to this.
Great album. I first listened to it around 2021 Christmas and nothing really click with me. But it has grown on me a lot the past however long.
All the songs sounds the same in my opinion.
My first reggae album I've ever listened to actually. It didn't really do much for me. I did like it though.
So on rateyourmusic, I'm stuck between a 4.0 and a 4.5. But translating that score to here no matter what it is between those two it'll be a five star. BESIDES THAT THOUGH, this is really good. I've been meaning to listen to this album for a very long time. The melodies of all of the songs are just so catchy and so earwormy. Mmmmmm.
Even though nothing REALLY peaked my interest. I still was very willing to come back to it. I'm not really sure why. I just enjoyed it a good bit. I also wonder if PJ Harvey was influenced by some Kate Bush? Her vocals reminds me of Bush.
I remember my first time listening to this album I didn't like it. But slowly a track will pop up randomly and I'll fall in love with it. This kept happening until like half of the songs I now love so much. There, There, A Wolf At the Door, 2+2=5, Sail to the Moon. All of those tracks are examples of just me slowly becoming appreciative of the music.
I actually liked this Bob Dylan album. Nothing i would come back to though. Idiot Wind is great though.
Not sure why I didn't really like this. It just rubbed me off the wrong way.
A very consistent pop/house record. I enjoyed it a good bit. What holds it back is that there isn't no song that I really want to come back to.
This album gives some sort of comfort. I can’t explain it.
First half bops but the second half gets a little repetitive.
I've listened to a few metal albums before and I even have listened to The Number of the Beast from Iron Maiden before. I didn't find that album too interesting so I didn't have high expectations with this album. But no, this album did surpass my expectations. I could see myself coming back to this album for sure.
I feel bad because this is considered as one of the greatest of all times. It just doesn't do it for me though. I find it way too boring for me. Maybe it'll grow on me. But maybe it won't. I don't know. I did listen to this album like half a year ago in late 2022 and I found it to be alright. But upon relistening to it I just didn't want to finish listening to the whole thing.
So I first listened to this album probably about two years ago and I was not a fan. I found it very boring and just too bland for me. But upon relistening to it I figured out just the charm this album has. A few tracks do carry this album hard but it's crazy to think that this is the band who made The Dark Side of the Moon.
It was a fun listen. I don’t think i’d go back though.
I liked it but it feels pretty formulaic.
Great shoegaze record. I’m actually surprised there are shoegaze records on this list. I just felt like it wasn’t mainstream enough. Yeah great album though. Feels like a great mix of jangle pop and shoegaze.
