mEh. Layla is the only song that's worth it. The others aren't bad, just kind of boring. First two songs were also good.
rap is really not my thing, but this was a solid album. Devil in a dress and Runaway were my favorites, great songs, really liked them. Monster was also fun.
i don't know what it is about this album, i just LOVE it. it's not even like a quintessential masterpiece, it's just fun, upbeat, and charming. makes me happy.
no. just no. i drifted away from the 80's because i was sick of the synths and the cheesy love songs, and I wanted to like this. but no. ugh. why is this on here :/ Bad is a really catchy song, and I like listening to it if it comes my way for any reason. But it's not even that good now that I've carefully listened- God how I hate the ballads in here Dirty Diana was pretty good, I liked the guitar and the chorus. still wouldn't put it in a playlist. Smooth Criminal is the best song on the album, I kinda forgot that I liked it. But I just- It's not good enough for me to forgive the damage this album has done on me. After all, I gotta rate the album as a whole, and these songs are just better as fricking singles :')) why. is. this. album. here. Leave me alone tricked me in a really cruel way cus the beggining sounded like it was gonna be good but. yeah, no. literally had to listen to the glee version of smooth criminal to recover from this. it's better than the original. the GLEE VERSION. okay i'm done bye.
Don't listen to too much jazz, but this album is just, great. yes.
Guitar town - not my style Goodbye's All We've Got Left - pretty good. I liked it when the piano came on. Hillbilly Highway- really catchy! liked it a lot. Good Ol' Boy - little repetitive, but fun to listen to, i'm in the mood for some traditionnal country My Old Friend the Blues - oof... good song Somedays - most eighties poppy song in here, so not my fave. but not that bad either Think it over - waaay too traditionnal and repetitive Fearless heart - mmmmmeh Little rock n' roller - too cheesy for me Down the road - funky still better than bad by michael jackson, so
good, good. funky. good.
Even if 1980's rock/pop is the opposite of my taste in music, I can truly see how this is an icon for the lovers of the genre as well as an album that deserves to be in this list. It's well made, catchy, and strong in lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation. Truly a step-up from Bad by Michael Jackson, and made me realize how fucking Bad it actually is.
not exactly my style, but pleasantly surprising. really oddly cool for what it is lmao
no.
NO. MORE. EIGHTIES. PLEASE. istg 80's music is meant for 2000's coming of age movies and that moment at a party when no one even cares anymore. nothing more. look. some of these aren't that bad, actually. i think it's cuz it's 1989 and we were getting somewhere. the synths are still annoying tho lmao. oh... i can't stress enough how much i hate round and round idk how to feel, i'm actually really torn on this opinion. on one hand, i might be biased because i usually dislike songs from the eighties. but also some of these are kind of good?? but then again they're not- and they miss.... personality. they give me the cure and the smiths vibes only... with no personality. just the depressing vocals and linear melodies. also the lyrics are preeeeetty bland. and never have i heard a guitar so boring as the one in this album. not even that funky to dance. ugh. EVERY SONG IS EXACTLY THE SAME HELP. skipped a bunch of songs at the 30 s mark,,, i just coudn't. wanna put two stars but there wasn't ONE song that is worth remembering. bye.
... maybe a little too rock and roll for my taste i just feel like this decade has too much potential for my dude elvis to be making 60's beatles style music. .......... no. not. a song. with a woman's. name. on. the title. I'M DONE. PLEASE GIVE ME A GOOD ALBUM SOON I REALLY NEED IT PLEASE. god why. why. end. now. end, album. please. AGAIN. NOT ONE MEMORABLE SONG. really angry that every song is the same. really angry.
👍
pretty pretty dope
this was pleasantly surprising. the sound is so unlike any other stuff i'v heard from the 70's, much less by stevie wonder, but i really really liked this!! yaayy
van morrison is just not my thing. still good, and chill to listen at. not any bad songs too.
like,, it's fine, you know??? but.. i just can't listen to an entire disco album on a row. unless it's saturday night fever. or the bee gees. like.. it just bores me. i'm sorry.
god... what a fucking album. really.
