Heaux Tales
Jazmine SullivanNow this is a surprise . Wouldn’t normally listen to female-sung modern r&b, but might be a good background album while schmoozing. Not enough oestrogen in me to thoroughly enjoy .

Can hear the influence on early Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a ton of Prince . More funky than Psychedelic , but definitely unique . Funkadelic stand in a league of their own stylistically ; moreover , the musicianship is next to none . Some solid bass playing and jam out sessions by all.
The Enz of Split Enz became the beginning of something great . Some of their finest tunes of cross Tasman musos .
Solid Elvis effort .
The Australian version of the Ramones . Great guitar sounds and good energy from the band ; just can’t connect with the vocals .
Slow moving and uneventful . A good album to have sex to or neck yourself .
80s experimental synth-political-pop . Title track rocks ; Heartlands and Angels of Deception are solid efforts . A little impenetrable so may need a number of listens to grow on you .
Political hip hop at its best . 911 is a joke and Burn Hollywood burn are standouts .

An angry female with a guitar who knows three chords ……….. Although Good Fortune is a killer track full of energy and angst .
Big band 50s music , not the R&B Ray I’ve come to like .
Back to their former glory on this album. Electro pop anthems with their famous pulsing kick drum .
Some unique cross over trip hop electronica . Definitely ahead of his time in the mid nineties. Prefer tie female vocal compositions and slower instrumentals to the hip hop style songs .
Progressive German Synth Rock . Impressive and want to hear more of Faust .
Post Rock mood setter . Like !
Maybe in the background at a family bbq . 50s slap stick and very cute .
I bought this on CD when it came out . I was expecting 10 “Good Vibrations “, and how good would that have been ! This is obviously not . I can see why it was shelved for 40 years . I love Brian Wilson regardless and I’ve seriously tried to get into this .
They say this is the go-to album for AeroSmith . Some great , classic tracks : Walk this Way ,Sweet Emotion . I just can’t stand their ballads . Recently bought the album , Pump and that’s awful .
A fine definition of British 90s cross over dance music . Enjoyed the nostalgia and positive vibes .
Very relevant in this age of imminent nuclear catastrophe . A great undertow of protest through audio landscape . Beautiful samples and rhythms . A real electro art album ; impressed .
A definitive Jazz record and a great introduction to anyone who is new to the genre .
A very dark album . They created an apocalyptic mood throughout the whole album . Particularly loved the title track and the Motörhead cover of Orgasmatron.
Musically brilliant and experimental beyond the Rock genre . My fave KC album is Starless and The Bible Black, but this is close .
A classic ! Great intro to 90s jam out grunge
Their best 80s LP .
Title track is a misfit amongst the other mundane ballads and garage rock .
A great example of their unique , somber pop.
