Joan ArmatradingFunkier than expected.
Funkier than expected.
Stone cold classic that defined a genre.
Joshua Tree is great but this is the moment they became U2.
Not really my cuppa.
Fucking epic boys
This is pretty good and I can hear all the punk bands I like that were obviously highly influenced by DKs.
Did the Pumpkins invent nu metal? This is the missing link between Gen X grunge and Millennial alt rock.
This sounds like it could have been released in 2015 so I’d guess you could call it influential. Not really dinging my bell though. Maybe if it was 1991 and I was on mushrooms in a field with a can of Carling in my hand.
Janis is clearly an icon and has an incredible voice but this band isn't really my thing. If I were on acid in Haight Ashbury in 1967 I'd probably think it was cool.
I didn’t drink the M.I.A. Kool Aid in 2007 and I ain’t drinking it now.
I can see how this would have influenced artists I like such as Radiohead but not really one I listen to again.
I think this is AF at their best. I still have my tour tee. This set the bar for indie music in the 2010s.
I don't dislike many artists but CS&N just rub me the wrong way. If Neil Young can't make your band better, what does that say about your band?
I had coffee with Garth Hudson once. I realise The Band are a Big Deal and also HUGE influences on some of my faves like Counting Crows and Whiskeytown but this record just didn't resonate with me.
Surprisingly listenable, even if she does start with a track thanking God for her life and end with a track talking about how shes still dirrty.... This high-concept pop probably paved the way for Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience.
What a debut from one of the GOATs.
This might be Chuck and Flav at their best. Remember when I fistbumped Flav after the Flo Rida show at the MGM in Vegas? Thanks HLTH 2017. Thanks Validar.
I can see why they’re influential to so many.
This is a forever album!!!!!!!!!
This definitely influenced a zillion bands, inc. QOTSA.
Lovely!
Biased because this is one of my seminal rock records/bands but this is a 5 star from track 1.
