Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Sep 29 2022

Okay Mr. S sangin’ on this jawn 👀 This makes me feel cool and luxurious, dove in hand. Imagine how I’d feel if I was old and straight 😎 As smooth and pleasant as this is, I don’t feel much of a connection so I don’t think there’s much replay value in this for me.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Sep 30 2022

😎 I would deal with homophobia to attend the church of Stevie Wonder. This record makes me feel really good. It’s a very welcoming (literally) religious experience, and I think that’s a special thing to pull off considering how divided stuff like that usually makes me feel. Stevie has that sparkle to him - a humble confidence where he doesn’t have to tell you/make you feel bad about how much better he is than you - he just is and you respect it. In short, this was swag 😎

Melody A.M. by Röyksopp
Oct 03 2022

I remember thinking the beginning was cool, but I also had google maps bitch telling me I was missing turns so the vibe was kinda killed. For how cool and groovy this sounded at points, I’m ultimately kinda forgetting almost everything about the record (expect the Geico ad song)..and I think that’s a bit telling. Still enjoyed nonetheless

London Calling by The Clash
Oct 04 2022

Is theses bitches sing another vowel.. The instrumentation is fun and quirky, but then I remembered they’re very British 🙄 Mostly pissed me off, but sometimes the wackiness worked. Learn how to edit btw

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Oct 05 2022

Stevie really has the sauce…and it seems like he always has. I’m not sure if I like this as an album experience as much as the other Stevie record we’ve listened to so far, but I think this project has more stand out tunes..which is more my speed anyways. This guy is pretty swag when it comes to the music junk, I don’t need to hear much more out of him 😎

Oct 07 2022

I’m about halfway through this record and I’m really not feeling it. For some reason I want to describe this as Christian or very PC lol - I just feel like it has no bite to it (mostly in the vocals). If I’m being real, I just don’t want this guy singing to me anymore lol. I’m really trying, but I just can’t haha.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Oct 10 2022

Omg it’s the Ford commercial song 😭 A lot of this record is giving car/home improvement commercial, but some of these groves are actually pretty good. However, I really don’t want to listen to this haha. Iconic..in a straight way 🤠 Really don’t want to hear this lol

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Oct 11 2022

Okay..this is valid Kinda skimmed this one, wasn’t in the room the whole time - but this is definitely an experience. You can feel the liveliness..and it makes me want to wiggle. It’s hard to think this guys mother was killed over this record (it’s criticisms of the Nigerian gov), but I trust the bio - that’s just bananas. But again, this is swag 😎

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Oct 12 2022

Alright. I didn’t give this one the closest listen, but it’s cool

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Oct 13 2022

This is fun. Again, not the closest listen, but this this is a good time.

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Oct 14 2022

Yeah Lenny kinda ate ngl. Bass goes hard and I dig it. He really feelin it (or something)

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Oct 17 2022

Yeah nah, I’m good

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Oct 18 2022

I know this is supposed to be sad, but this record is like a warm bowl of soup after a long hard winters day..and I love soup 😘🥣 Billie could sing the phone book and I’d be game. They’re just something so soothing and homegrown about this all. Thank you Billie - I know you’re not my Billie (Eilish), but you are still awesome 😎

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Oct 20 2022

Definitely long-winded at points (a lot of the record, actually), but it was still a fun and interesting listen..a lot more than some of the baloney we’ve had to listen to. Speaking of baloney, salami is what gave me food poisoning and caused me to miss the LCD Soundsystem concert I was supposed to go to earlier this year…sold my $100 ticket for $15 😭 Anyways, this was def laced with the sauce

GREY Area by Little Simz
Oct 24 2022

Ummmm…wow I’ve heard songs of this before, but this experience as an album is crazy. She is angry, bitter, and has the hunger and skill to back up everything she says. You can’t look for much more in a record - I’m in love. Thanks Simbi - My first 5 😘

British Steel by Judas Priest
Oct 26 2022

Sorry, but I’m good

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Oct 28 2022

Some would say they have the juice 😎

OK Computer by Radiohead
Oct 31 2022

No Surprises clears 😎 I love being annoying.

Garbage by Garbage
Nov 01 2022

Contrary to the record/band name..this is pretty good

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Nov 02 2022

Was cool at first, but then it started to feel like that Clash record we listened to…annoying Defiantly interesting parts, but know when to reel it back

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Nov 04 2022

this is swag. pedal steel and pretty voice melts me

Suede by Suede
Nov 08 2022

Wasn’t the closest listen, but cool 👍 Queers are cool 😎

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Nov 16 2022

Grooves on this are pretty nutty. Some lulls, but when the production/instrumentation is at its best - it’s truly great

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Nov 18 2022

Ford commercial music, but good

Sound Affects by The Jam
Nov 22 2022

Skimmed, but pretty swag. Have to check out again

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Nov 24 2022

Skimmed, this might be swag? Would need to listen closer

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
