Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Nov 17 2022

Really beautiful, melodic stuff. The lyricism is excellent and even the moments that feel like filler are still great. Just a really stunning record overall and understandably considered the peak of indie folk in the 2000s.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Nov 18 2022

A really great albeit mildly overrated record. It does have some lyrical misses like Ballad of a Thin Man, but the greatness of the songwriting on cuts like Tombstone Blues as well as the earnesty in Bob's voice through songs like From a Buick 6 and Like a Rolling Stone still make this a standout in his discography.

The Who Sell Out by The Who
Nov 21 2022

Easily one of The Who's best. This record was basically proof that the band were way more than just a typical classic rock outfit (though they were excellent beforehand as well). From the instrumentals to the product-placement inspired thematics, this album is electric.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Nov 22 2022

I mean it's a classic for a reason. It's rare to come across something that feels plugged-in yet acoustic all the same. In fact, this may be the only mostly-acoustic glam rock album I've ever heard of. While I think that Bowie's glam peers like T. Rex still deserve just as much credit for their contributions to the industry, Hunky Dory is proof as to why the soon-to-be Ziggy Stardust is such a legend.
