The Next Day by David Bowie
Dec 09 2022

Liked a lot. Maybe not quite as high of highs as Ziggy stardust but about the same enjoyment for me on average.

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Dec 10 2022

Very good, unique from my experience, which I don't have much of in terms of music like this. I was completely off l unfamiliar with this album before now but I enjoyed it quite a bit and will listen to it more.

Drunk by Thundercat
Dec 11 2022

Thundercat is an excellent instrumentalist and producer and it shows in basically every track of this album. Outside of that, I find his voice boring and his subject matter often not especially interesting outside of a few tracks. I liked it overall.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Dec 12 2022

Really nice country album. I did not feel mentally well when I listened to this and it did not make it better. There's background to it that I only skimmed as of now that may affect my opinion of it so for now I can just say that it was very good.

Dec 13 2022

I kind of loved this. At the start of the first song, I thought I was in for something Jason Mrazian which is not a good thing but by the end of it I was intrigued and the second song blew me away. The whole album was catchy, creative, skilfully made, fun.

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers
Dec 14 2022

Didn't blow me away. Maybe I wasn't paying much attention. I'll listen again sometimes. Well performed.

Tragic Songs of Life by The Louvin Brothers
Dec 15 2022

Really nice little country album. Quaint. Felt like two people on a porch somewhere in rural Kentucky.

Dec 16 2022

Wonderful. We'll played, written, and sung all around. I have never listened to a full Bob Dylan album before and I will now listen to more.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Dec 18 2022

Haven't listened in years but it's always been one of my favorite rap albums. Incredible. Really blew me away more than it ever had. So expertly crafted in every way, it's not wonder he can't top it now.

Dec 19 2022

Beautiful, catchy. I don't know anything about how impactful this was on ambient/techno or anything since I know very little about that kind of music but I enjoyed this a lot.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Dec 20 2022

I usually don't love thrash but I haven't listened to much and I enjoy Metallica. I liked this album, especially Blackened and One.

The Last Of The True Believers by Nanci Griffith
Dec 21 2022

Really nice 80s country album. Nothing crazy but very good. She has a really unique accent for country.

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
Dec 22 2022

Good. Will definitely listen to other Missy Elliott releases since I haven't heard much of her outside the radio.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple
Dec 25 2022

Wonderful. Emotional, hard hitting, vibrant but in often instrumentally sparse, masterfully performed.

Skylarking by XTC
Dec 28 2022

I loved this. I will be listening to their whole discography.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Dec 29 2022

Loved it. Amazing variety and consistently great songs.

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Dec 30 2022

I enjoyed this. Will need to listen more closely another time.

Hms Fable by Shack
Jan 01 2023

Didn't really do much for me. It was pleasant and there were a few songs I particularly liked.

Dare! by The Human League
Jan 02 2023

Good! Didn't amaze me but I enjoyed it and I can see it's influence.

The Slider by T. Rex
Jan 03 2023

Really good! A nice catchy glam rock album.

Fishscale by Ghostface Killah
Jan 05 2023

Excellent. Took me forever to listen because I haven't been listening to rap lately but I loved it. I will listen to more of his solo work now.

Arrival by ABBA
Feb 02 2023

Great! Classic after classic. My first time listening to an ABBA album straight through and I enjoyed it very much.

Feb 04 2023

Listened twice. Enjoyed it. I prefer punk to grunge in general including in riot grrrl so I enjoyed the more punk leaning passages more.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Feb 05 2023

This doesn't blow me away with my current tastes but this is clearly very skilfully made and has some songs I like a lot.

Feb 15 2023

Really good. My first doom metal really. I will listen to more of them.

Among The Living by Anthrax
Feb 16 2023

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I guess I prefer crossover thrash to thrash.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Feb 18 2023

Great! Catchy, joyful, wonderful.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four

Surprised by how much I liked this. I'm usually not that into post punk stuff. Really good.

Really good. Creative, hard-hitting, wide range of influences.

Sex Packets by Digital Underground
Feb 23 2023

Fun, creative, catchy, passionate

Dookie by Green Day
Feb 25 2023

Really good, catchy, energetic
