Very catchy riffs, fantastic ballads, very solid debut album.

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
Mar 06 2023

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Liked some of the ballad-y songs and some were fun to listen to, but some songs were just an okay and some didn't get my attention at all. I think this rock sound is just too old for my taste.

For someone who isnt too huge into rap, I found this double album very enjoyable. super good first album and the second had the banger hits and some underrated ones. Some songs definitely felt skippable, especially on the second album. 8/10

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Mar 10 2023

First Jazz album I've ever listened to, didn't really do it for me. Very talented musicians but the music just sounds like random bass/piano playing. Didn't really feel anything from the first listen. 5/10

Metallica by Metallica
Mar 13 2023

Almost perfect metal album, but still doesn't get to RTL, MOP, or Justice in terms of perfection. Production is still one of the greatest in metal, fantastic riffs, groove, and lyrics. Some songs are just an okay which prevents it from being perfect, but they don't feel skippable or boring at all. 9/10

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Mar 14 2023

Very solid rock album that can brighten up the mood. Not much to say about it, just a good vibe rock album. 7/10

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Mar 15 2023

That's a no from me. She has a good voice, but damn is it overproduced and soulless. Couldn't get myself to finish it all the way through.

Document by R.E.M.
Mar 16 2023

Album was okay, really enjoyed the instrumentals, but the vocals ruined it for me. Exhuming McCarthy sounds like its straight from some commercial

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Mar 17 2023

Solid reggae album, second one I've listened to. Not perfect, but a good album to vibe to. 7/10

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Mar 20 2023

Decent album! Everything about this felt fun and original, only thing I dislike about it is the noise rock elements of it, almost gets to the level of giving me a headache. I can see the influence it did on grunge and I respect this album and band for it. 7.5/10

Solid Air by John Martyn
Mar 21 2023

Best bluesy jazzy album I've heard so far. I love the atmosphere, the acoustics, the piano work, perfect. Great album for focus and relaxing. 9/10

Mar 22 2023

Sounds like Coldplay but more boring, vocals sound overly nasally sometimes and the songs are long with no progression at all. Very bland. 3/10

Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto
Mar 23 2023

Okay album, but not really for me. Felt like background music, didn't really have anything unique or mind-blowing. 6/10

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Mar 27 2023

Great album, Jimi Hendrix is always enjoyable. Catchy songs, incredible guitar work, and no song was boring. 8/10, doesn't hit the level of Experienced but it still a great album.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Mar 29 2023

Album was alright, not a huge fan of disco but I like how every song has a different flow. Not a bad album at all but not really something I would come back to. 6/10

Microshift by Hookworms
Mar 31 2023

Okay album, didn't make me feel much though. I do like some of the experimented stuff they went for, but it didn't really do anything for me and also felt a bit generic at times. Another issue would be that the songs are too long with not much happening throughout. 5/10

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 03 2023

Very solid album! The only flaw really is the vocals, he kind of just mumbles his way through everything, but the instrumentals throughout the whole album is fantastic. 7/10
