Immigrant Song as the actual rock, but a switch to more folky stuff. Pleasant surprises: That’s the Way, Tangerine, Out on the Tiles

It’s a relaxing little indie album. I enjoyed the strings and horns of The Shining and the loveliness of Magic in the Air. The rest of the album was meh. 3 stars.

Nice introduction to “trip hop” genre. I loved this one. Sour Times and Glory Box are the best songs on the album.

This wasn’t doesn’t work for me. However, it’s got a Portishead remix halfway through the album, which is interesting because listened to Portishead yesterday. Experimental techno all the way through. 2.

Le Freak is the most recognizable. Only listened to front half of the album. Funky.

Lots of angst in a weird rock/pop/synth/ska album. I hear Beatles/Reel Big Fish/Pink Floyd influences in this melancholic debut album about lost love and the masculine construct.

Liked Wild Horses. I just don’t think I’m a very big Stones fan.

Not my cup of tea. However, there is a guest spot from Ice-T, which makes for an interesting collaboration.
