Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Mar 02 2023

Good sounds, but none of it particularly stood out. The vocals all sounded the same and kind of muted. Would listen to it though as background music, but I wouldn't jam out to it.

The Slider by T. Rex
Mar 03 2023

I liked his voice, and I was jamming a bit to his music. However, it wasn't a total hit, and I'm not sure how amazing as pure background music it would be. I liked in particular Telegram Sam, and could see maybe liking Metal Guru in the future. This could be an album to revisit again to see how I feel. Very 70's though with the unique sounds but not as exploratory as other albums of that time.

Different Class by Pulp
Mar 04 2023

I liked this album, they really nailed their choruses and it feels like one of those albums I could sing along with. However, they only talked about sex in this album and that was the theme it stuck with. So that's alright, the lyrics made it interesting enough. There were also some weird vocals they did at the beginning of songs that made it a little hard to decide if it was worth adding since the rest/chunks of the songs were good. So for those reasons it knocks it down from a 5 to a 4. I will likely listen to this again.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Mar 05 2023

Solid sounds, did not sound like what I would typically associate with the 70s. The ones I really liked I really did, where as the others were whatever and weren't noticeable when I was listening to it in the back.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Mar 06 2023

Sounds were nice, and you could feel some elements of a connected story or vibe, but I feel like I need to be guided or read something external to get an idea of what I'm REALLY supposed to get out of this album. I may need to read up on this album more and relisten.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Mar 07 2023

Decent album. The sounds were interesting, and I did like what they were doing with vocals, very ethereal like. However, the actual music itself was soft and not ear-catching to me. It was just "nice" to listen to. None of them really gave me shivers throughout, except for one "I Wear Your Ring" which I did add. It's another album that sounds nice in the background and I can see why people would like this, however, I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to listen to this again. Perhaps as background music?

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Mar 08 2023

I really vibed with this album, and I never realized they were a yell rapping group. They suffered a bit of the problem of their voices sounding similar since you lose some of that inflection ability since you're always yelling, but their beats really always held strong. Not many strongly stood out, but I would totally listen to this again if I want good beats.

Beautiful Freak by Eels
Mar 10 2023

Not my type of music, was pretty bored throughout. Wasn't that the music was awful, but beyond the one song from Shrek there wasn't really anything that I felt anything towards. His voice was nice, but I feel like the style of music he paired it with was a shame for me.

Achtung Baby by U2
Mar 11 2023

It was good background music. I can totally see why people would really like this, but its not quite my style. If someone put it on in the car though, I would listen to it again

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Mar 12 2023

Kind of seemed like a more "modern" take of 70s sounds. It was good background noise. None of it really stood out for besides the same titled song pt 1. Probably wouldn't listen to the album again, but it was solid.

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Mar 22 2023

I was bored throughout the whole thing. It was ok background music, but I dont think I'd search for it.

Homework by Daft Punk
Mar 23 2023

Not Daft Punk's best album imo, however, still a classic listen and their use of lyrics as a tool for the music is always something super interesting to me.

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Mar 24 2023

Liked the voice, but the actual songs were fine. Would listen again

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Mar 30 2023

A lot of weird noises. Not bad music, definitely not for me though.

The Clash by The Clash
Apr 04 2023

It was okay. Songs sounded pretty similar to one another with that guy's voice

90 by 808 State
Apr 09 2023

Nothing stood out about this album, it was decent background music though

Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Apr 12 2023

Its alright, kind of cool sounds, and there were moments I liked, but none of it really sticks afterwards.
