RushCouldn't do it, made it about half way through the first track and wanted to jam a rusty knife down my earhole

Shamone. Phenomenal. Paul McCartney does his best to ruin the funk on that one track but still a solid 5 stars.
More metal-influenced than I remember. Not their strongest album, but second half is definitely better. Hasn't aged particularly well. No real bangers, aside from maybe Hang Wire
Two of the catchiest singles of all time, but not wall-to-wall bangers like some of the later albums. Fair amount of filler.

Actual music
I can't tell if the fact they're as good live now as they were then is a good thing or a terrible thing, but I'm not in my sixties so I don't really give a fuck.
almost half the album is skits but yeah he had bars on this one
All over the place. Bangers mixed with absolute dross. 4 stars for lack of coherence and the fact the mix is muddy af. Rocky Raccoon underrated, Helter Skelter still slaps hard, and the album at least inspired some good Simpsons jokes.
some nice post-colonial lyrics can't save this from being absolute tripe
acoustic porn

Never got the hype about this lot tbf.
If Kate Bush was in the B52s but was a worse songwriter
Slaps
pretty guff I'll be honest. Best thing about it is dat ass on the album cover
Never heard of these before but really enjoyed this tbf
Let's be real, everyone only ever listens to "intro" and "crystallised," the rest is forgotten.
Not my cuppa but p easy on the ears
Better than I remember actually, but was the remastered version. Some girls is still the one for me tho.
The bars are ok but the music sounds like what might have happened if you'd left me alone with the presets on one of those old keyboards in music lessons. Just cos you can stereo-pan doesn't mean you should always do it.
Pretty bad. Would be good in a lift. Proper muzak
loved it
Nowhere near as pyschedelic as the horrific cover art suggests. Reminiscent of the Beach Boys and the Kinks, this is pleasant, jangly chamber-pop. I was quite bored throughout.
Enjoyed more than I remembered enjoying it but still not a huge fan.
wtf is this? tonally all over the place. muzacky, jazzy electronica but mostly an incoherent mess.
goat hip hop
great
