ooo the Mid 2000's... what a moment for quirky rock bands on the pop charts. i miss it so.

Went from unknown to one of my favorites! This band had a good sound for the time. Good balance of traditional rock and the more off kilter stuff of the era. Smiths meet rolling stones, perhaps?

My hill to die on: NOBODY has any business covering Tracy Chapman. NOBODY.

This exemplifies why I love real recordings. All the character. All the vibes.

Some really cool tracks on this one. Probably the most accessible gk album I’ve heard.

At first you’re like “cool” but after gmhslf the album you’re like “ok I get it.”

It’s like listening to a poetry night at a coffee shop. Without the chord changes.

I'm sure i would've been blown away as a contemporary, but it feels like all those early punkers were really working to hit that "wretching" sound.
