Mambo Sun and Life’s a Gas are the best songs, followed by Cosmic Dancer. I was surprised by the semi rock indie feel of the first track. I think they were on the same drug trip when he wrote Bang a Gong and the Motivator, then had a hard time picking them apart from each other. Planet Queen is one of the most pointless songs I’ve ever heard. Rip Off has some great music in there, but I felt “ripped off” that they cut the most creative sounding music parts to go back into the same tiring sound when he yells “it’s a rip off!” I hope it was intentional. Other songs not mentioned don’t really need any comments. In general I can appreciate the music if it was unique for its time, but by the same token, I don’t think it’s particularly reasonable to say it’s good just because it may have been different. I would not listen to any of those songs again by choice asides for the first three mentioned.
Really like 1.5.
Repetitive.
Not bad. Some creative and some fun music.
Expressive/emotional vocals. Not a higher rating due to it being mainly covers.
Slightly fun, not terrible, but definitely dated.
Boring!!! Repetitive vocals!!! Sleepy piano throughout the whole thing!!! Never want to hear again. Zero stars.
Only a few songs at the end stood out. Not terrible but not memorable.
Not my thing but was okay.
A good listen.
Okay, not special.
