Showcases the breadth of writing ability/styles from Lennon/McCartney and Harrison, even with vocal contributions from Ringo. Really diverse set of tracks, with Eleanor Rigby rubbing alongside Love You to and Yellow Submarine. Also notable for the innovative recording techniques, and it still sounds modern today.
Interesting listen. I knew some of the more famous tracks of course but not listened to the album before. At its worst, it's bad prog rock, at its best its thumping rock and roll.

Just fantastic, I own this album and have listened to it hundreds of time. Felt special from the first listen, fresh and different, great guitar and vocals, pared back and urgent. And I'm sure then influenced bands like the Arctic Monkeys later
I hadn't listened to this before, but know the band a little. Enjoyed it, and it's different to their earlier stuff. Quite varied styles and a nice indie/garage core to it
It's very much an album that defined that period of time, and I enjoyed listening to it having not done so for decades.
Interesting early album, and quite a disco-oriented sound in parts (not on Psycho Killer though!). Striking, original, and would have sounded pretty out there in 1977 I imagine.

It's basic, but powerful and 1969 and I wanna be your dog are brilliant. Had not realised John Cale was involved (and plays sleigh Bell on I wanna be your dog).

Didn't know about Suba before listening to this. Serbia meets Brazil, heady mix! Liked this a lot.
