Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Sep 25 2023

I loved this. Sounds so familiar yet was brand new to me. Can see it as a high influence for Japanese jazz fusion.

The Specials by The Specials
Sep 27 2023

So good. It plays like a greatest hits record. One of my favorites of all-time.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Sep 28 2023

This was a lot of fun and a great listen. Love the groovy baseline in People. Love the deep backing vocals in Love and Affection.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Sep 29 2023

A fun listen, seems ahead of its time. Can see how it could influence a lot of the electropop of the 2000s. Really enjoyed the About Funk, seemed very Daft Punk-esque. Also liked the vocals on Sometimes. Good stuff.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Oct 02 2023

Such a great record, so great to hear Changes!

Queen II by Queen
Oct 03 2023

I liked it fine, but wasn't anything new or exciting. Was fun to hear a different side of Queen.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Oct 04 2023

One of my favorites of all-time. Love Someone Great, All My Friends and NY, I Love You.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Oct 05 2023

Have never listened to it all the way through, but I know the hits. I liked it and a pretty impressive debut album.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Oct 06 2023

It's a classic. Side A is pretty much perfect, ending with such a gigantic song like Kashmir is great.

Debut by Björk
Oct 09 2023

I really liked this more than I was expecting. It's so 90s it hurts.

Street Signs by Ozomatli
Oct 11 2023

I really didn't get anything out of this. Thought it was overall pretty boring.

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Oct 12 2023

Pretty fun and jazzy. Distinct 80s British sound with some cool jazz.

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Oct 13 2023

Not a big metal fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed this cover to cover.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Oct 16 2023

It's okay. Two out of Five ain't bad.

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Oct 18 2023

If the 90s had a soundtrack, this might be it. Can't stop listening to Where Do I Begin.

Ten by Pearl Jam

Kid A by Radiohead
Oct 31 2023

There will be books written about this record.

Suicide by Suicide
Nov 01 2023

I can see how and where it has influenced others, but it just didn't do it for me.

Dookie by Green Day
Nov 02 2023

Dookie >= Nookie

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Nov 03 2023

One of my faves growing up. Still is.
